Real nursing care, without the clinic visit
Home Vet Nurse offers nursing care under your vet's direction, all delivered at home. There's no need to leave your current vet practice; Katie works as an additional resource to your existing vet, sharing notes after every visit where applicable.
Every visit includes travel within the coverage area, notes sent to your vet, and next steps if required.

Book this visitFirst aid care
For cats and dogs who've been in a fight or come home with a minor cut or wound. Katie gives the injury a full assessment, cleans and dresses it, and crucially, checks whether it needs to be seen at a vet clinic. It's a peace of mind check, not a replacement for emergency care, any serious bleeding or significant injury should always be treated as an emergency and taken straight to a vet or an out of hours hospital.
Book this visitAnxious pet companion visit New
For pets who find the vet clinic itself the hardest part. Katie visits your home first to prepare and settle your pet, then accompanies you and your pet to your vet clinic appointment. Priced from £35 depending on how much preparation and support is needed.
Book this visitPet laser therapy
Multi class pet laser therapy
We provide medical grade, multi class pet laser therapy, a non-invasive, drug-free treatment that eases pain and speeds up healing. It's a great option for arthritis, stiff joints in senior pets, and recovery after surgery or injury, all delivered from the comfort of your home.
Laser therapy is a highly personalised service where a pet plan will be created to understand loading and maintenance treatment dosage needed, as well as class of laser required for condition being treated.
Katie is a certified Pet laser therapist in the UK, accredited to use class 3b and 4 lasers on small animals.
How does it work?
Our laser uses cold infrared technology to penetrate your pet's tissue and source of pain. This increases oxygen and stimulates the cells around the pain source. Regular treatments lead to a reduction in pain and inflammation.
- Pain free treatment for a serious condition
- Relaxed treatment in your own home
- Freedom of movement for older pets
- Side effect free
- Safe for longer treatments unlike Librela
Pet laser therapy is available now, priced from £20 per session. For more information on whether it's right for your pet, contact Katie directly at info@homevetnurse.co.uk.
Book this visitDog & Cat Grooming New
This is a basic hygiene grooming service, not cosmetic grooming. It's aimed at pets recovering from surgery who need tidying up, and pets who can't visit a regular groomer due to age, anxiety, mobility issues or a medical condition.
Hygienic trim
A trim of the fur around the tail, hindquarters, ears and paws. This keeps the area clean and reduces the risk of faeces or urine clinging to the fur, which can lead to skin irritation, infection and odour if left unattended. Especially useful for pets who can't tolerate a full groom or haven't been able to get to one.
Book this visitBasic brushing service
Routine brushing to remove loose hair and early tangles before they become mats. A comfort and hygiene service rather than a cosmetic finish, aimed at pets who struggle to groom themselves properly, including arthritic, overweight or senior pets, or those with a thick or long coat that needs extra help between full grooms.
Book this visitMedical shaving
Careful clipping or shaving for a medical reason, such as allowing a wound, hot spot or skin condition to heal and dry out properly, helping a prescribed topical treatment reach the skin, or preparing an area before or after a vet procedure. Katie will always flag anything that looks like it needs a vet's attention.
Book this visitDematting
Safe removal of fur mats using proper clippers, never scissors close to the skin. Mats pull tight on the skin with every movement and can hide sores, infections or even parasites underneath. If matting has already caused skin damage, Katie will recommend a vet visit rather than attempt to treat it herself.
